wedding dj TRINITY BUOY WHARF, london
We love getting the chance to wedding DJ at Trinity Buoy Wharf – what an epic venue! We’re fortunate enough to be on the preferred suppliers list here so we’ve played at loads of weddings across the years, and one of more recent DJ sets there was for Holly and Chris, a brilliant couple with a brilliant brief.
Holly is a big fan of a power ballads club night that I (Jon) have DJd at hundreds of times over the years. So the brief was a big party vibe with lots 80s, Motown, 90s pop and garage, indie and a mega power ballads section for some drunken shout-singing. So, think Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Mis-Teeq, Cher, Girls Aloud and Oasis.
The first dance was really fun – You’re the Best Thing by Style Council, with friends and family joining part way through. The last dance? Toto, Africa. If you like this song it’s a great choice for your wedding, and a real crowd pleaser.
The night clocked in at a fairly 6 epic hours of solid dancing and I have a feeling the crowd could have kept going (the shots of Tequila Rose helped).
Shout out to Matt Parry for his excellent photography skills, London Wedding Bars for their brilliant drinks and excellent planning from The Wedding Arrangers, who we love working with.
Thanks Holly and Chris for having us as part of your night. Such good fun.
