WEDDING DJ BRUNSWICK HOUSE LASSCO
We had such a great night as the wedding DJ at Brunswick House, Vauxhall, for Justina and Patrick in June 2023. The venue – a really impressive large Georgian townhouse surrounded by more modern glass buildings – is home to restaurants, bars, and antique shop, but also doubles as a chandelier-strewn wedding venue, set across three floors.
Justina and Patrick came to us with a really specific brief which was great fun to work with – essentially a broad playlist that would blend plenty of styles, including disco, rock, R&B, hip hop, pop and some indie singalongs. The post-breakfast dancing was in the basement, which had a really great – and quite unusual for a wedding venue – underground club vibe. After a set of acoustic covers by their friend Harry, which we provided the sound and tech support on, the dancing began. Songs chosen by the couple included Bonnie Tyler’s Hero, Harry Styles’ Music for a Sushi Restaurant, Bruce Springsteen’s Hungry Heart amongst other eclectic tracks ranging from Destiny’s Child, through to Swedish House Mafia and Taylor Swift. We took their guidance and built around it, adding tunes from Prince, Lil Nas X and Aretha Franklin.
Bride, Justina also had some Russian members of the family at the wedding so we worked with her to ensure that there were some big Russian tunes dotted throughout the night to ensure that one side of the aisle was just as happy as the other!
