From Father John Misty to Khalid: The Soundtrack of Ashleigh & Callum’s Wedding at The Beacon, Tunbridge Wells

Ashleigh & Callum’s wedding at The Beacon in Tunbridge Wells was a celebration that perfectly blended romance and fun. With RedLine head DJ, Jon on the decks, their playlist kept the energy up all night, with carefully selected tracks that had everyone dancing from start to finish.

The evening started with a touching and intimate first dance to "Real Love Baby" by Father John Misty. This romantic, laid-back track perfectly suited the couple’s style, creating a beautiful moment that set the tone for the evening.

Right after the first dance, the energy shifted dramatically with "Hey Ya!" by Outkast as the second song of the night. Guests quickly changed from slow dance mode into party mode letting loose to this upbeat, crowd-pleasing hit. Hey Ya! is the kind of cross-generational track that brings everyone together without delving too far into the past, and it worked wonders to get the party started.

Throughout the evening, we kept the vibe flowing with a diverse selection of tracks, moving seamlessly from timeless classics to modern hits. Highlights included Beyoncé’s "Crazy In Love" and "Voulez Vous" by ABBA, both of which had guests of all ages on the dancefloor. Tracks like "Best of My Love" by The Emotions and "Le Freak" by Chic kept the disco vibe strong, while "Cuff It" by Beyoncé, “Cruel Summer” by Taylor Swift and “Good 4 U” by Olivia Rodrigo and brought a more contemporary flavour to the mix.

As the evening grew longer and we felt like the crowd’s energy was starting to wane, we injected some extra spark into the dancefloor with some carefully selected house and d&b bangers. These tracks ranged from Lee Cabrera’s fresh take on ABBA’s “Gimme Gimme Gimme” through to LF System’ and David Guetta’s “Afraid to Feel” as well as a couple of DJ Fresh tunes back to back and some Rudimental for good measure. Dancefloor energy crisis firmly averted!

As the night drew to a close, the last two songs were chosen with care. "Pencil Full of Lead" by Paolo Nutini was a lively, upbeat tune that added a playful note to the end of the night. Its infectious rhythm had everyone smiling and dancing together one last time. The final song, "Skyline" by Khalid, was the perfect closer—its mellow, dreamy vibes gave the evening a reflective and heartfelt finish as the couple shared a final dance surrounded by their guests.

From start to finish, Ashleigh & Callum’s wedding was a perfect reflection of their personalities. The Beacon provided the perfect setting with its picturesque surroundings, and DJ Jon ensured that every moment was underscored by the ideal soundtrack. It was a night that their friends and family won’t soon forget, filled with music, dancing, and memories to last a lifetime.
